Drone the Alps 2K17

‘DRONE THE ALPS 2K17’ is a little glipse of how living in the heart of the Alps is. How it made me appreciate and fall in love with the mountains. After some years of hiking and enjoying nature at its finest, I started filming my experiences. Mainly as an archive of my moments, that would serve as a diary of sorts; and sharing it with the world. Soon after that, I discovered flying and this took my perspective to another level. This short film is footage I shot this year, whenever I had the chance to do so. I also recently aquired a DJI Mavic Pro, mainly due to the fact that it is smaller, more compact and easier to travel with than a DJI Phantom.

I also tried out some more camera movements and effects to make the footage less boring. Shooting on straight lines and fixed camera angles can become cumbersome after several minutes of video. Angle, perspective and movement is what “spices up” shots. Still learning, still making mistakes, still enjoying it. I hope you do too.
